More tasty

セブンイレブンで買った「直火で焼いた小丸せんべい」のパッケージに次のような英語が書いてありました。

  • Seven Premium is ever evolving.
  • More tasty, more affordable.
  • SNACK

内容はともかく、一つ気になったのが二行目の More tasty という英語。

tasty の比較級は tastier なのでは?と思ったので、念のため辞書を調べてみました。

OALD には tasty の比較級・最上級として tastier, tastiest のみが示されています。

さらに他の辞書も調べてみたところ、ひとつだけ more tasty, most tasty をのせている辞書を発見しました。

tastier, tastiest を標準としつつ、 括弧付きで more tasty, most tasty ものせています。

おそらくストレートに「文法的にどちらが正しいのか?」と聞かれれば、その答えは tastier, tastiest ということになるのでしょう。

ただ実際の会話においては more tasty, most tasty を好む人もいるのかもしれません。

またお菓子のコピーとしては tastier より more tasty の方がキレがよいというのもわからなくはありません。あるいは確信犯なのでしょうか?
